It seems like most folks have more than one email account. I know that I try to keep one account for business and shopping.

My question is, do you like one service over another? When it comes to sensitive data being emailed. Banking, credit cards, shopping and bill receipts, those sorts of things.

As for banking, when I can I do that emailing through their website. But as for receipts, I keep them in one email folder, and password protect it. I love gmail, though. That isn't the main one I use, but I do love it anyway.

How do you password protect an email folder?

I've been checking a seldom used yahoo account lately, and I really like the latest layout. Heading for subject of new messages, and headings for the start of the message once you are reading it. I like the shortcut keys they provide and the buttons for various functions.

I just found the following website going over various email services.

Has anyone heard or used bluebottle?

For anything serious I use my main account with my ISP. Mailing lists and so on I just use a yahoo account. That's all I really need, but with my isp they now have a thing called address-guard, where you can set up an address which will forward to your main address. give that one out to whoever, then when it starts getting too much spam, get rid and start with a new addy. Haven't used it to any great extent but itseems to work great. Apart from that I just use the email addresses to do with any sites I have going.

Yeah I've got several email accounts for different things, it just depends on what I'm doing. But my main one is with gmail, which I find most accessible. I've also used yahoo, but that is getting worse and worse accessibility wise, and I dont use it anymore, hotmail, which is ok, not the best though! And i haven't tried out the school's email yet, so I dont know.

Hmmm, I wonder if we are using different versions of yahoo mail? I'm finding more and more accessible. The one I'm really hating is hotmail. I've been working on fazing out my 2 hotmail accounts. One of which is for business needs. That is the one, I'm wondering if I should create a second gmail or head over to yahoo. The advantage with gmail, is checking it via OE. I just wish OE had a junkmail folder or something.

For years, I used my main account via my isp, but then I moved, and what a pain to notify everyone of a new email address and do it in time, so I wouldn't miss any stray emails going to the closed account. *smile*

Ok, now I'm confused. I have 2 yahoo accounts, and today I checked one I haven't checked in a month or so. It is in the traditional yahoo layout style. Does this mean my other account is the new yahoo style? I thought I said no to that. Whatever happened I like the newer one. The headings, the buttons, and the title bar instently telling me how many unread messages I have, all are helpful.

I also have an email question.
Is there any way to have my Outlook Express receive my Yahoo mail email services like that? I would like to be able to get my mail all in one place.

Thanks,
Patti

I believe you can, but have to pay for it. Out of msn liv, yahoo, and gmail; gmail is the only one that still allows you to access for free via outlook express.

Ifyou have a yahoo.ca account like I do, or any other international one, you can use OE, or any other email client without any charge, but if you've got a yahoo.com account, not sure how much you'd have to pay to do that. I also have a gmail account, but my main account is a yahoo.ca, which I can use Apple mail with just fine.

Hmmm, does the international yahoo thing only apply, if you set the account up in that country? I can log in via the Canada or UK site, but I'm still unable to use pop3.

Could you explain further please?
